St. Brigid’s Credit Union Ltd prides itself on putting the needs of their members first.  In times of need, members have always turned to us for support.  And during this challenging time, amidst all of doubt, uncertainty and worry which Covid-19 has brought, St. Brigid’s Credit Union Ltd will be on hand to help you.  You’ll find a listening ear; a reassuring voice and you’ll be dealing with someone who will do what they can to provide you with the support that you need.

The safety, health & well-being of our Members & Staff remains our priority.

 

Making Contact with St. Brigid’s Credit Union:

Many standard queries can be dealt with without needing to visit any of our branches.  All of our branches will remain open, albeit with some adjusted opening hours.  We would strongly encourage you, to contact us by phone, email or through our online services.

You may way wish to:

  • Phone and speak to a member of staff – although phone lines are busy, our staff are doing everything possible to answer calls and queries in a timely manner.  We thank you for your patience in this regard.  The contact detail for our 4 branches are:

Depending on the query, a member of staff may need to contact you via phone to respond.

  • Use our Online Services – Please logon to www.stbrigidscu.ie to access our online services.  From here you can view your account, enquire about a loan, carry out an electronic funds transfer, print statements etc.  You can register for this service on our website in just a few easy steps.  If you had registered in the past but have lost your login details please contact one of our branches by phone for assistance.  You may also want to set up a standing order to repay your loan or lodge to your savings account.  Your BIC and IBAN are on our statements, your passbook receipts or you can obtain same by phoning any of our branches.

 

Calling into St. Brigid’s Credit Union:

Opening Hours:

The public health advice is to stay at home and only leave your home for an essential requirement.  All of our branches remain open for business; however, we are operating revised opening hours during this time.  Our current opening hours are:

  • Clara Branch: Tuesday to Saturday 9.30am to 5.30pm. Saturday 9.30am to 5pm.  Closed for Lunch 1pm to 2pm

 

  • Moate Branch: Tuesday to Saturday 9.30am to 5.30pm. Saturday 9.30am to 5pm.  Closed for Lunch 1pm to 2pm

 

  • Ferbane Branch: Tuesday to Saturday 9.30am to 5.30pm. Saturday 9.30am to 5pm.  Closed for Lunch 12.30pm to 1.30pm

 

  • Banagher Branch: Thursday & Friday 9.30am to 5.30pm. Saturday 9.30am to 5pm.  Closed for Lunch 1pm to 2pm

These opening hours are temporary and are in place until further notice.

In-branch Preventative Measures:

Please only attend our branches if your requirement is essential.  A member of staff will be on hand to help you with your requirement.  For your safety and the safety of our Staff, we are implementing a number of COVID-19 preventative measures and we would ask you to carefully observe and respect these measures in order to keep everyone safe. These measures include:

  • Provision of hand sanitiser in all of our branches
  • Floor markings to outline the required physical distancing measures of 2 metres (6.5 feet) when queuing
  • Limit to the number of members allowed in the Members Hall at any one time:
    • Clara, limit is currently 5 Members
    • Moate, limit is currently 5 Members
    • Ferbane, limit is currently 3 Members
    • Banagher, limit is currently 4 Members

If the Member limit is exceeded, staff may temporarily lock the door.  In this instance, please continue to adhere to the physical distancing measures when queuing outside of the branch.

While in the branch we would ask that you:

  • Use the hand sanitiser provided upon entry and exit.
  • Do not shake any persons hand and to please avoid any close contact with fellow Members and Staff.
  • Please have everything to hand in order to not delay at the counter when carrying out your transaction.
  • Avoid bringing children into the branches where possible.

We would ask that you consider using the express lodgement service if attending our Clara, Moate and Banagher branches.

Foreign Exchange Service: 

St. Brigid’s Credit Union Ltd have suspended our Foreign Exchange Service and closed our foreign exchange counters in all of our branches until further notice.

All of these measures are for the safety, health and well-being of our Members and Staff and are under continuous review.  Thank you for your continued co-operation during this time.

 

Loan Repayments

In this unprecedented time, St. Brigid’s Credit Union Ltd recognises that many of our members will face unexpected hardship through unemployment and other events associated with the COVID-19 pandemic.

We are encouraging Members to contact us by phone at 057 93 31196 or via email at info@claracreditunion.ie to discuss their situation and the possible flexible options available to them regarding their loans. We are here to help and can assure Members that they will be treated fairly and with empathy.

What is the loan restructuring process? Will I be charged if I restructure my loan?

St. Brigid’s Credit Union Ltd sets its own lending policy and has its own loan process.  When Members contact us, a member of staff will be on hand to guide you through the process and explain to you what your options are. St. Brigid’s Credit Union Ltd do not charge rescheduling fees.

Are St. Brigid’s Credit Union Ltd offering payment breaks or other relief on loan repayments?

In this difficult time, St. Brigid’s Credit Union Ltd are committed to taking the time to understand each members individual situation and to explore options which might be appropriate in each circumstance.
Is St. Brigid’s Credit Union still issuing loans?

Yes. St. Brigid’s Credit Union Ltd are continuing accept, process and issue loans. If you have a lending requirement, you can apply for a loan over the phone or by emailing loans@claracreditunion.ie.  You can also send a loan enquiry via our website, www.stbrigidscu.ie.  If you have a query about a live loan application, please contact us via phone.
I cannot get through to the credit union on the phone. What should I do?

Our staff are dealing with a very high volume of queries and are endeavoring to deal with each query as quickly as possible. Please try to be patient if phone lines are busy. You may wish to make check out your credit union’s website to see if you can find the information you need. Alternatively, you can email the credit union with your query and a member of staff will get back to you.
