What We Require From You

Outgoings

  • 3 months bank statements (most recent)
  • Other outgoings – Credit Card or Mortgage Statement, proof of other loans (if necessary)

Proof of Income

  • Employed – 1 recent payslip or 3 recent payslips if it’s your first loan with us
  • Proof of grants or scholarships (if applicable)
  • Social Welfare – evidence of social welfare payment
  • Self-employed - a Revenue Commissioners Income Tax Assessment and a letter from your accountant confirming your current income and/or your most recent up to date set of accounts

Identification

  • Photo ID – Drivers Licence/Passport
  • Proof of Address – Utility Bill, Bank Statement dated within the last 6 months
  • Proof of PPSN – Medical Card, Payslip, Revenue Documentation
Lending criteria

Membership

  • The loan must be in the student’s name. If a student is not a member of the Credit Union, they can join and make a loan application on the same day once they meet the membership criteria.

Guarantor Required

  • A suitable guarantor may be required. Guarantor may have to provide proof of income and outgoings.

Proof of College/Apprenticeship

  • Proof of college fees or placement must be provided.

Please note: if you do not meet the repayments on your loan, your account will go into arrears. This may affect your credit rating, which may limit your ability to access credit in the future.
